What you should actually look for
Seats you can document, a body style that fits daily life, and a coarse cargo band where the measurement allows it. We do not claim that a litre figure means a stroller fits, and we do not have Isofix data.
Start with space needs, then range and charging. Compare in the catalog. Ranked shortlists live on best family EV — this page does not rank.
Winter and long trips with a family
Cold weather cuts range. Preconditioning and winter tyres matter more than an internal winter number. Read EVs in winter and use the range calculator. All-wheel drive is a separate choice — see do you need AWD.
Budget without invented price classes
The catalog prices below are observations, not advice on what your family “should” spend. New versus used is explained in new vs used EV.
What the catalog shows about family space
Right now the catalog has 159 models. 134 have known 5-seat capacity, 10 have at least 7 seats, and 1 have unknown seat counts. 101 are SUV, crossover or MPV.
45 have a coarse “large” cargo band. 70 have unknown cargo and are not counted as small. Litre figures are not comparable across brands.
